Recently I’ve noticed that when I have my intermittent windshield wipers on, they’ll wipe when I let off the brakes, no matter what setting they’re on.
Is there an issue that I need to address? Is this normal?

Well, the variable speed wipers in my Accord do that on the lowest setting, so that makes me think your stalk is shitting itself.

It’s strange. Any reason why it does this?

For people that sit in the rain for extended periods of time, such as at a traffic jam. Also, the lowest setting is speed sensitive.

That does sound like an intentional quirk, such as “clear the window once you start going”-thinking. Pretty neat, and unless it starts doing more weird shit, i wouldn’t bother. If you need peace of mind, ask an owners forum/group or the dealership. Maybe the manual mentions it?
